Hot on the heels of the launch of the UK digitalisation roadmap, IDE hosted a webinar series to demonstrate the art of the possible when digitalisation is applied in an intelligent, targeted, and agile manner to specific engineering challenges. Each webinar will focus on a collaborative research and development project, funded by IDE, which demonstrates the impact of new digital capabilities in delivering results in an accelerated time frame and improve productivity.

(Optimisation for Abaqus composites) The development of an advanced algorithm for the optimisation of composite structures which is capable of calculating 100,000s of design sensitivities derived from non-linear (Finite Element) models. (Warranty Analysis through Virtual Engineering and AI) Application of an innovative Auto-Machine Learning platform to predict failures in connected vehicles by modelling historic warranty data. Led by Kortical and supported by Ford Motor Company.
AiR-FORCE - 19th May 10.00am – 11.00am (AI for Reliability-based Feature Optimisation with Driver Contextual Intelligence)
Harvesting Data-Over-The-Air using AI-based driver behaviour models to optimise powertrain control strategy and improve customer experience. Led by Jaguar Land Rover and supported by University of Bradford.
