Bradley Yorke-Biggs / CEO & Professor of Practice
Bradley is a strategic business leader with over 28 years' experience in the automotive industry and technology sectors. An engineer at heart, he brings a wealth of expertise in business strategy, innovation and technology strategy, product strategy and marketing. Bradley previously spent 16 years with global luxury brand Aston Martin, at both operational and senior leadership levels, and formerly held positions at Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover and BMW Group.
Since joining IDE UK in October 2018, Bradley has led the organisation's transformation, developing a new strategy and organisational capability to drive industry, academic and government engagement and delivery.
Ian Barnard / Programmes Director
As Programmes Director, Ian leads the IDE UK Project Portfolio development and management, bringing in depth knowledge and experience Product Lifecycle Management.
Ian has spent over 20 years working across the automotive industry and has supported many of the world’s most successful manufacturing companies achieve complex enterprise wide business transformation initiatives. His experience also includes organisational redesign, portfolio management and programme scoping/set up. Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Samuele De Guido / Planning Manager
Samuele is responsible for initiating and developing new innovation projects, managing the organisation’s project portfolio, and supporting the institution’s strategy. He also leads IDE’s involvement in collaborative projects, including the Virtually Connected Hybrid Vehicle (VCHV) and Virtual Vehicle Integration and Development (ViVID).
Samuele's expertise lies in programme management, modelling and simulation, and optimisation. He was formerly a Mechanical Design Engineer in a leading company in the semiconductor industry. Samuele is a Chartered Engineer, and holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Parma.
Samuele's love of a good project extends to the more adventurous kind outside of work, such as climbing Kilimanjaro and rafting in the Grand Canyon.
Ritesh Amin / Technical Lead
Ritesh is currently leading the IDE Technology mapping activities. This includes evaluating domestic and international engineering capability whist investigating new disruptive digital tools and trends, particularly in modelling and simulation, for adoption by the UK automotive engineering sector.
Trained as a mechanical engineer, he also holds a MSc in Thermal Power – Aerospace Propulsion from Cranfield University. Ritesh has previous industrial experience within the aerospace sector, working with both Airbus France and UK, and more recently closer ties to the UK automotive sector. This has enabled him to develop expertise in the fields of multi-disciplinary/multi-objective design optimisation, design life cycles, simulation data management systems, design integration architectures and computational fluid dynamics.
In his spare time, Ritesh enjoys engineering the most delicious vegetables, much to the delight of his co-workers.
James Williams / Programme Manager
James joined IDE UK in December 2019 and as Programme Manager is responsible for delivery and governance of IDE’s projects. James has worked across automotive and motorsport sectors delivering multiple successful programmes for Penso, Aston Martin and Prodrive as well as been technical lead on a number of vehicle platforms for several OEM’s. James’s expertise lies within programme management, product design and composite manufacture.
A keen motorcycle racer in his spare time, competing and building his own machines, James is fully aware of the benefits of a competitive advantage and is looking forward to accelerating the advances in automotive digital technology within the UK. James holds a MSc in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes University.
Peter Scanes / Programme Manager
Joining IDE in December 2019 Peter brings a wealth of experience in project management from across the automotive industry, having worked for companies such as Ford Motor Company, Lotus Group and Emerald Automotive. Peter’s expertise ranges from powertrain and electrical system development to management of hybrid and EV programmes and quality management.
In his role as Programme Manager Peter will be overseeing the overall programme development and lead on digital engineering activities. After a week of juggling projects, Peter likes to pursue the mechanics and science of hitting the ball in a round of golf.
Peter holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Hertfordshire.
Sunniva Skorve / Business Operations Officer
Sunniva is responsible for overseeing daily operations and business planning as well as managing IDE’s marketing strategy and activities.
Sunniva holds a degree from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts as well as management qualifications from BI Norwegian Business School. She has previous experience in business and project management from retail, education, and the creative industries. Formerly, she held a Business Engagement role at the London Borough of Hackney.
When not crunching numbers or managing the office, Sunniva can be found enjoying London's design scene whilst studying for her HE Diploma in Interior Design.
Mary Economidou / PR and Events Coordinator
Mary joined the IDE in February 2020, as the PR and Events Coordinator. Mary is responsible for all the IDE marketing and PR activity including all media relations and social media. She will also lead and assist the organisation of the main IDE Events.
Mary completed her undergraduate studies in Political Sciences in Greece and also holds an MA in Ideology and Discourse Analysis from the University of Essex. She has a background in events management and membership services across a variety of sectors including construction, education and not-for-profit. Mary enjoys binge-watching series, park walks, and savoury puff pastries.
